Geyser off! Hat on! was a reminder on the back of the front door during a hot Cape Town summer. When Paula Fourie visited us, the sign caught her eye, and it turned into a little piece with a kind of Alberti bass, and a perky tune, in the Dorian mode, above it. Technically it is a five-finger study with one change of position for the left hand.
