In 2012 I composed a piano piece for the Cage centenary concert I gave in the Fismer Hall Stellenbosch on 4 September 2012, the anniversary of his birth. It consisted of 100 voicings of the four-note chord derived from the pitches of his surname. Ten years later I reworked it as a short prelude for Yasutaka Hemmi and Takayo Matsumura.
