Programme note
Kora is a transcription of the First Dance of French Suite for piano, which paraphrases music of the kora (West African harp-lute) and the mbira dza vadzimu (thumb piano from Zimbabwe). I made this transcription for the young French harpist Héloïse Carlean-Jones and the Japanese harpist Takayo Matsumura.
